I don't know if anyone remembers this show, but ThunderCats was DA BOMB! The show was basically about these cat-like creatures whose planet was destroyed and they moved to Third Earth, which is a futuristic Planet Earth. The fought evil while protecting a gem, the Eye of Thundera, which was embedded in the hilt of the mystic Sword of Omens. Their names were so cheesy! The leader was Lion-o, along his side was Jaga the Wise, Tygra, Panthro, Cheetara, and WilyKat and WilyKit, who were twin brother and sister. The villains, who always lost the battle in a twenty minute slot, were Mumm-Ra, who without fail was in every episode trying to defeat the Thundercats, The Mutants, Lanataks, Hammerheads, and so much more.
I was about three or for when I really jumped into it and i don't remember much, but I do remember I had the schedule of this show down to the second before it aired. Every school day at 4:30 I would get home, eat my snack and relaxed until 5 when ThunderCats came on. Whatever I was doing I would stop it immediately and go watch. If I was talking to a friend, "Sorry, I gotta go watch ThunderCats." I can't really say why I loved it. Maybe because my own imagination could not imagine such a thing. Talking felines with large swords saving a world. It was BIZARRE! Although there were several shows out there like ThunderCats, like Power Rangers (when is was still simple and cool), Voltron, and Jem and the Holograms, with TC I was more adventurous. With all those other shows you could guess what happened next week because most ended in "To Be Continued," but TC almost never ended like that. And to see Lion-o put his up his sword above his head and yell, "Sword of Omens, give me sight beyond sight!" never got old. Now, I look back and think, "Man, I was DORK!" But I wouldn't change a thing about TC, because nothing gives the same feeling as when I was watching
